This year

In March the great earthquake and tsunami hit the northeastern region of
Honshu. I sympathized to the sufferers too.
Aa far as T'm concerned, there was nothing to pick up eapecially at this year.
Whenever I stroll about the park in the morning, I croon "Unbeaten by rain" by Miyazawa. Kenji, and I play the harmonica at times.

Indian summer

I'm not good at composing haiku. I had prefered writing of poetry. After my
retirement, I came in a haiku gathering. We once published an anthology of haiku. We showed 40 haikus each. From the book, I introduce my hakus...
"Oh! Summer clouds. I will escape conscription."The sun was rising. A monorail crossed on the field of Japanese pampas grass."We see the sights of
sakura at Yaedake. There was an American base."

Last month I intended to enter a short story within a week. But, I
couldn't write it though I drank. I'm ready to write a poem, but it's
difficult to write short story. Mr. R. M. Rilke, Please drop me a Breief to an old poet when you see this Page.

Aging

I'm going to make a speech at a wedding party as a uncle. I got old. I won't
present mid year and year
-end gift to my sisters. Those gifts may be empty form.
Aging is one of a natural phenomena like the rotation of the earth.

A change of clothes

Mr.Miyagi published the 23th issue, the reminiscence of a village in the Battle of Okinawa. He feels that the village's mass suicides were ordered by the Japanese military command, He has finished printing this year. This is his final issue..
On June 1st and on Oct. 1st we change seasonal clothes. But in Okinawa
we change summer clothing on May 1st. The office workers and politicians go to their office wearing Kariyushi wear, COOL BIZ or without
a tie.
On May 28, The typhoon No.2 hit Okinawa. The typhoon normally sweep this island from summer to fall. It seems to be unusual that typhoon hit in May.
This year we haven't seen red flowers of Deigo much. Perhaps so many typhoons won't come to Okinawa.

The Dugong

The dugong seems to be as gentle as the turtle. According to tradition the dugong was a mermaid. They once lived in the Okinawan seashores .Our ancestors ate the sea cow's meats.
The battle of Okinawa gave them a crushing blow. They live in the offing of Henoko nowadays. We and the Dugongs don't want to relocate the US
Hutenma airbase there
.

4月 Apr. One Two One Two, Good Morning.

The huge earthquake and tsunami devastated the Pacific coast of north-eastern Japan.
Every morning I go to the park on foot. I walk with a swing of my arms, "One two, one two." I chant the nenbutsu, and recite "Unbeaten by rain" I'm trying to strengthen my under belly lately, and to shout "Good morning"on the no one sidewalk of the bridge.

3月 Mar. 風回り(カジマーイ)A gale of spring wind

"Red sky at night, saior's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailor's warning."
Our ancestors had learned a lot of lessons from nature and had taught us
thankfully.
An earthquake is caused by a sudden slip on fault, or fracture, in the earth's
surface.
This time an earthquke stuck Christchurch, New Zealand. The news came as
a great surprise to me.

We say the alphabet of the things "I,Ro.Ha" in Japan. In English we learned to say from ABC, in arithmetic 123, and in Music Do-Re-Mi. Speaking of Do-Re-Mi, I have seen the movie, The Sound of Music.
♪Doe, a deer, a female deer Ray, a drop of golden sun Me, a name I call
myself Far, a long long way to run Sew, a needle pulling thread La, a note to follow So Tea, a drink with jam and bread That will bring us back to Do, oh oh oh.♪

Happy New Year.
b

I succeeded in making this HP again thankfully. On the New Year's Day I paid homage at a shrine.
I received a lot of New Year cards. While I was reading pleasant cards, I stroke the keys of my personal computer to bring my address book up to date.
I read now A.Ikegami's books, and Naoko Takeda's book of the chocolate.
