Jeju volcanic island, Republic of Korea





Figure 1 : Outlook of Jeju island. The central volcano is Mt. Halla (1950m, Photo 1). 'A', 'B', 'C' show the positions of Piyando island, Sangunpuri crater, and Songsan Iich'ulbong, respectively. The eruption was reported in Piyando island in 1007, but not clear in 1002.
